Speech You wake up to the sound of your alarm going off and think to yourself, ‘how is it already time to get up?!” You swear you literally just woke up. “Why must school start so early!?” You sigh. Does this sound like a typical morning for you? I can safely say that most of us experience the pain of a school morning. This is because school starts too early. Hi, I’m Elsie and today I’m here to persuade you as to why school should start later in the morning opposed to earlier. First, students need to get their sleep. According to nationalwidechildrens.org children are only getting around or less than 7 hours of sleep when studies show students need exactly 9 and a half hours of sleep to get the recommended hours of snoozing. So, if we do the math here, most pupils get to school at around 8:20am and we all leave school at 2:50pm, resulting in us getting home between 3pm and 4pm if you were to go home straight after school. As New Zealand citizen's, we have a general election every 3 years determining the future prime minister for New Zealand. Q2: Why do we have elections in New Zealand? To give the public and media a voice in New Zealand's future and choosing who they believe will have a better and positive impact on our country. Q3: What happens during an election? The citizens and residents of New Zealand cast a vote on their believes, based on what the parties have stated and promised for NZ. I was born Christchurch and have lived here for almost 5 years; I lived in Christchurch for the first 2 years of my life, moved away then moved back almost 3 years ago. Q2. Blogger Idea Write a post called 'My Bucket List' and include the top 10 things you want to achieve in your life.  My Bucket List. 1. Go to University and graduate. No one in my family has ever graduated from University so I would like to be first. 2. Travel. I would like to travel all over the world. 3. Actually understand at least some of my family.
